Baking Masterclass in Mérida with Silvestre Private Experience. SEASON 2026 Select your private date between: 1 OCT - 3 NOV A mindful creative journey to bake and taste the traditional Mexican flavors of Día de Muertos! We will focus on creating, baking, decorating and tasting the most divine ritual bread, the mindful way! Another year sharing my family's recipe of our traditional Pan de Muerto; its artisanal preparation/hand kneading and proofing time takes around a total of 4 hrs: --------------- Artisanal work! We will put all our energies knowing the recipe and preparing the dough, handmade. Pure fun! You will learn about the cultural symbolism and variations of shapes for this traditional bread, you will create your own figures for baking, decorating and enjoying. --------------- As soon as you perceive its scents, you'll guess its deliciousness: orange blossoms water is the spirit of this traditional Mexican bread. The blossoms were carefully harvested from my wild garden. While your bread is in the oven, we will prepare a traditional drink with amaranto and cacao to enjoy together freshly baked bread. This workshop is for adults authentically interested in learning how to make by hand artisanal bread. No experience is required. Let´s meet up and celebrate life! “The Day of the Dead” is one of Mexico's most vibrant and charming traditions. The festivities take place every year from late October to early November, to commemorate the symbolic transitory return to Earth of relatives and loved ones. Private Experience.
